Privacy Policy
Effective August 8, 2026
WalletDog is operated by Cloud Witness Technologies. WalletDog does not sell personal information, run advertising, or track people across other companies' apps and websites.
What WalletDog handles
When you choose a screenshot or take a photo, WalletDog may process the image and the charge details it contains, including the merchant, amount, billing schedule, and charge date.
WalletDog also uses a random installation identifier, Apple App Attest or Google Play Integrity verification, and limited request-count information to verify genuine copies of the app, prevent abuse, and keep the visual-reading service reliable.
How images are processed
WalletDog removes image metadata such as location and camera details before analysis. The sanitized image is sent securely through WalletDog's service to a contracted visual-model provider so the charge can be read. WalletDog may change providers to improve reliability, speed, or cost, but requires them to process the data only to provide WalletDog's reading service, not for advertising or training general-purpose models. WalletDog does not persist the image body on its server. A provider may retain submitted content in security or abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days unless stricter controls apply. See the current provider list.
The original image, extracted charge, alarm, preferences, and history are stored on your device so WalletDog can do its job. Apple or Google processes your store purchase; WalletDog does not receive your payment-card number.
Why the data is used
- Read customer-selected screenshots and photos.
- Create and maintain money alarms.
- Recognize merchant names so charge details are easier to review.
- Record money saved only when you choose to report it.
- Protect the service from fraud, abuse, and runaway usage.
Retention and deletion
WalletDog keeps your charge records and images on your device until you remove them or delete the app. Server-side installation and usage records are retained only as needed to operate and protect the service. See Delete WalletDog Data for the exact removal steps and the server-record deletion request.
Your choices
You choose every screenshot or photo WalletDog receives. You can edit or delete charges in the app, change notification access in your device settings, and delete local WalletDog data by removing the app. WalletDog does not require access to your bank account, email inbox, contacts, or full photo library.
Children
WalletDog is not directed to children under 13.
